Open Garage, then Tires and Wheels. Enter your tire width, tire aspect ratio and wheel diameter. These three values set the rolling circumference the system uses for speed and distance.
Wrong tire data means wrong speed, wrong odometer and wrong gear calculation. On an off-road build running a much taller tire than factory, the error is large enough to matter on every one of those readings.
Read the three values off the tire sidewall. A tire marked 285/70R17 gives width 285, aspect 70, wheel diameter 17.
- Press TIRES AND WHEELS.
- Enter tire width.
- Enter tire aspect.
- Enter wheel diameter.
Update these whenever you change wheel or tire size, then recalibrate gears.
